Droids and Asimov's Three Laws
Droids in my game are bound by Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics, including the Zeroth law.
Exceptions:
Fourth Class droids which include Battle Droids and Assassin Droids are programmed with specific definitions as to who they can harm which allow them to fulfill their intended role.
Droids that have gained sentience, such as IG-88, have special programming which nullifies the three laws of robotics. They act as a normal person would act, having their own personal motivations.
